Diamond Community

The gold side of Praga. Diamond is the community that stands for excellence and brilliance: it competes, celebrates and serves throughout the school year alongside classmates, teachers and families.

Communities

Our colours

Gold identifies Diamond in every competition, flashmob and Community Day. The shirt is worn with pride from preschool through to graduation.

Annual scoring

Every activity counts. Points accumulate across the three terms and the cup is awarded at the end-of-year ceremony.

Every year group together

A preschool student competes on the same side as a senior. Older students lead, younger ones learn.

Supporters and family

Families are part of the community too. On Community Day the stands turn gold.

What a community means at Praga

Every student belongs to one of the four communities for their entire school life. It is not a temporary group: it is an identity that stays with them from enrolment to graduation.

Competing teaches more than winning

Communities exist so students learn to work as a team, lose with dignity and celebrate with generosity. Results pass; the character formed there remains.

Real leadership

Older students organise the younger ones, build the choreography and hold up team morale. For many it is the first genuine leadership role of their lives.

Frequently asked questions
How is my child’s community assigned?

Assignment aims for balance across the four communities. Siblings are usually placed together so the family lives the year in one colour.

Can a student change community?

No. The community stays with the student throughout their school life: that is precisely the value of belonging.

Do families take part?

Yes. On Community Day the stands fill with families wearing their community colours.
